I actually forgot about deviantArt recently, or rather that I had an account. Finished school, trying to get work, etc. Nothing really exciting. Been going through my gallery and taking out some stuff... I'd promise more updating, but I think we all know how that goes. We'll see.

I tried fitting this quote into the tiny box below but it wouldn't fit, so here goes:

Yeah, you can see how that wouldn't fit, but I think the sentiment is sound. I still haven't finished the book, as it's too damned long and just drags on and on, but you get the idea.

Wow, haven' been here in almost a year now. Just a quick update for anyone who cares about my life thus far:

-I'm in the last year of animation now, doing 3D work in Maya. I'd rather be doing Flash, but I figure it's good to know other programs just to keep my options open. Been working on portfolio stuff, probably will do more Flash for it over the summer and whatnot.

-As of June last year I finally got a boyfriend, that's been going quite lovely. He's also in animation, been thinking about starting a dA account too, so maybe you'll be seeing some of his character design work soon-ish.

-Grew my hair out, haven't had a cut for almost 2 years now I think. I really need to update my bio pic

-Got a new computer since the old one kept crapping out on me. It's a mac (with dual boot so I can use Windows for games, as well as OSX ) and I got a free iPod and a printer/scanner with it, so that's nice. My tablet's gone and crapped out on me, though, gotta get a new one soon Also need to get Photoshop.

-I'm currently addicted to videogame news, particularly Kotaku www.kotaku.com/ and GoNintendo gonintendo.com/ I know that's not really all that interesting, just thought I'd throw out those sites for anyone who's interested, they're quite good.

-Got a keyboard for Christmas (complete with slot for a USB port, neat) and downloaded a bunch of videogame music off of Game Music Themes gamemusicthemes.com/ Again, not really important, but still pretty cool

Yee-ep. I've got some doodles and whatnot I'm thinking about uploading, hence the journal update. Hell, if anyone's even still looking at my account, feel free to say hi and all that.

If you're a fan of Halo or Metroid (or both, whatever), you gotta check this out. Best fan video ever. Not so sure about the ending, but yeah okay Anyway, it's a damned cool mash-up video, so yeah, take a looksee. Even if you're not a fan of the games. Seriously, it's that cool.

As some of you may know, I've read a lot of webcomics in my day, not the least of which is Purple Pussy by Dave Kelly (it's a pretty edgy comic, so read with that in mind: www.purplepussy.net/)

It seems now that there's a so-called "artist" out there who's not only blatantly stolen his work, but now the guy's making money off of it! I know some of you have probably already heard about this, but for those of you who are unfamiliar I just thought I'd share my frustration with this guy. I know just posting about it on an online journal doesn't do much (if anything), but I wanted to get the word out about this. The guy does t-shirt designs for Hot Topic and has done some galleries, and from what I've heard he's stolen pretty much all of his "ideas" from other people (The one I keep hearing is "Boys are stupid. Throw rocks at them" with stick figures, and I just know I saw that on a poster with one of those angry bunny characters on it)

I feel like I should balance out my outrage at this hack with something regarding a man with actual amazing talent. You may know him better as Gregory House, but before that show he did a lot of British comedy shows (he does an amazing American accent, though. I swear, it hardly seems like the same person!)
