Buffalo Bill by SWJG Buffalo Bill by SWJG
Based on an idea my boyfriend's brother and I came up with sometime last year that I've been working on every now and again. The idea was to do a comic strip, kind of like "garfield minus garfield", only with Buffalo Bill and his dog, Precious from Silence of the Lambs. Sort of try to make Bill seem occasionally innocent, though still messed up. This is the most recent design I came up with for Bill, based on screenshots from the movie. I'm thinking I may do an animation some time, just for the hell of it.

I like to imagine Bill in all his fabulousness telling Christine that her skin is dry, and "here, try this, it should help with those wrinkles too, darling. Oh don't thank me, just put it back in the basket when you're done, mmkay?"

as someone who has been known to draw Jame and fawn over Precious, I find this cute.

LOL OMG... I've been watching a lot of Ted Levine lately (in Monk) and hadn't realised that he was Buffalo Bill in Silence until I read his filmography a few days ago.

Aww he looks so sweet in this!

You mean the police chief (is that the guy) from Monk is Bufallo Bill? That's just creepy somehow.

Yeah he's the captain of homicide in that series.

Cool, I guessed it was the right guy :)

Yeah I've only watched a little bit of Monk. Seems like a cool show, I liked the one where he becomes an undercover butler, that was pretty funny.

I watched a little bit back in 2003 summer or so when it was on the New VR (I don't know if it is on that channel still... ). I went back to school in the fall and I had no tv in my apartment near campus so I never ended up watching it regularly back then. I don't think I watched TV regularly ever since after high school. Now that I'm free, I was like... "Hmmm... I wonder what happened to that show? I wonder if it's still running?" and found that it's going to end this December after 8 years.

Parts of the first season are filmed in Toronto. I was watching and was like OMG that's the Royal York Hotel, Queen's Quay, The Ex and Scarborough Town Centre. I think there might have been some beach and China Town scenes too... Dunno...

I relate with the protagonist more than one might think.... I have my own neuroses and coping mechanisms to make sense of the world much like him.... I'm watching and I'm regretting not using some of the clips for acting class....
